Captain Kyle Harvey
Capt Kyle Harvey is the Recruiting Officer and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at Air Force ROTC Detachment 255, University of Iowa. He is responsible for recruiting, training, and educating students from three universities and colleges for commissioning as officers in the Air and Space Force.
Capt Harvey was raised in Riverside, Ca and enlisted in the Air Force in 2010. He served as a Radio Frequency Transmission Systems Technician and as a Military Training leader until he commissioned in 2020 through Officer Training School. Throughout his career, Capt Harvey has deployed 3 times in his career in various positions, most recently as Deputy Officer In Charge of National Tactical Integration at 609th Combined Air Operations Center, Al Udeid Air Base. His deployments supported CJTF-HOA, INHERENT RESOLVE, and RESOLUTE SUPPORT.
Prior to his current assignment, Capt Harvey led a 46-member branch of military, civilian, and contractor data-link operators, software developers, and analysts responsible for planning, implementation, and broadcasting global air and ground tactical data link networks. Additionally, he served as the 16th Air Force Commander’s Action Group Reporter Officer In Charge, where he was responsible for ensuring effective, clear, and consistent communications and correspondence with senior Air Force leadership.
